Patient Service Representative

Provides a comprehensive set of business, financial and appointment-related services. Enters or maintains computer data, master patient index integrity, patient insurance and billing information. Performs call center scheduling, arrival desk and departure desk activities. Collects referring physician demographics information for communication. Recruits, initiates protocol and trains patients on my chart system. Performs screening and scheduling of interpreter services. Initiates privacy practices and consent. Performs point of service activities; visit preparation, co-pay collection, patient tracking and record tracking. Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Minimum two years patient registration, insurance processing or appointment scheduling. Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential in order to successfully communicate with a diverse patient population and workforce. Ability to handle multiple tasks. Demonstrated independent thinking and problem-solving skills.
Education
High school diploma or GED

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
