Hog Slaughter
Entry level position: you may be required to do any/all of the following:
Slaughtering operations: using knives and saws. Driving hogs from the barn, stunning hogs prior to slaughter. Shackles hind leg of hogs to raise them for slaughtering or skinning. Severs jugular vein of hogs to drain blood and facilitate head or skull. Slits open, eviscerates and trims out carcasses of slaughtered animals. Saws, splits or scribes slaughtered hogs to separate carcass, cuts out, trims, skins, sorts and washes viscera of slaughtered animal to separate the edible portions from the offal. Cleans out carcasses.
Lifting and carry weights of 30-90 lbs., 3-50 feet, 5 times per hour.
1st shift Monday-Friday. $11.60/hr.
Background check and drug test required.
