$30K - $38K a year 18 hours ago 18 hours ago 18 hours ago The School Clinic Administrative Assistant will support the operation of the school clinics by acting as a liaison between FHS and the schools.
This position requires the ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities, handling patient requests, placing outbound calls to patients and their parents, and handling all administrative tasks with a positive attitude.
Essential Functions Liaison between FHS providers and school clinical staff to coordinate patient care.
Scans intake packets from the school-based patients into charts and accurately inputs information into the patients chart from the packets.
Maintains medical records according to policy.
Insurance verification and eligibility.
Communicates with patient parents to ensure we have the right information for billing.
Assists in maintaining the organization of school clinic scheduling as needed.
Tracks productivity and data as needed.
Obtains signatures for consent according to policy.
Assures medical records paperwork for patients is up to date.
Demonstrates effective communication skills.
Maintains knowledge of clerical, personnel, medical policies and procedures.
Utilizes supplies in a cost-effective manner.
Adheres to the standards and policies of the Organizational Privacy/Security and Compliance Programs, including the duty to comply with applicable laws and regulations (HIPAA, OSHA, OIG, guidelines, other State and Federal Laws).
This also includes reporting to the Board of Directors, Compliance Officer, Privacy Officer, supervisor, suggestion box, and any suspected unethical, fraudulent, or unlawful acts of practices.
Must be familiar with the operation of FHS office and be available to work varying hours as necessary.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience High school diploma with a minimum one year of clerical experience and knowledge of computers and data entry is required.
Applicant must be organized and able to prioritize assignments Must be able to do multi-tasking, problem-solving, and have decision-making skills Follow detailed instructions with attention to detail Ability to work with a culturally diverse group of people Must be proficient in computer knowledge - Microsoft Office, Excel Excellent typing skills EMR experience a plus Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred Good customer relationship skills and a strong work ethic.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
