Their primary job is to ensure that Lake Erie Arms facilities and spaces meet health and safety standards.
They perform routine maintenance tasks to preserve the healthy and safe condition of surfaces and surroundings.
This may include sweeping and mopping floors, sweeping carpets, dusting / polishing fixtures and countertops, cleaning restroom sinks/urinals/toilets, collecting/emptying trash receptacles, window, and door cleaning, and maintaining the appearance of all areas of the facility.
Environmental Services Technicians adhere to safety guidelines and regulations to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
They utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) as required to clean potentially biohazardous waste, follow proper handling and storage procedures for cleaning chemicals, follow safety guidelines and procedures for proper cleaning and waste material handling techniques of potentially hazardous materials.
They also participate in training programs related to safety and environmental compliance.
They communicate and collaborate with other staff members, supervisors, and facility occupants to address cleaning needs, respond to requests or complaints, and ensure customer satisfaction.
